[One day for a lifetime] July 27th to August 2nd

Hello everyone.

The pop-up at Ueno Marui, which began on July 22nd, ended on July 31st.
This time, the pop-up was held during the summer vacation period, so many students came to the event. And, just like last time, there seemed to be a lot of foreign tourists. Thank you to everyone who came.

Summer vacation is like the lyrics of a song that goes, "We want to do something this year, and we're both excited every day," and whether we're making plans or just lazing around, whether we have something going on or not, it's somehow fun. And before you know it, it's over, and in September, everyone is sharing their summer memories.

That's nice.

These days, I wish that working adults could have a summer vacation of about one month...

KARL&C's showcase exhibition at Adachi Ward Office, which ran from April to July 31st, has now come to an end. This exhibition is held in the hall on the first floor of Adachi Ward Office, where they introduce and display the ward's industries. Here too, many people have come up to us and said, "I saw the products on display." There are quite a lot of people who come to see it, so I recommend it.

On August 2nd, we participated in "Sport for Tomorrow x Africa Action Day 2025," an official partner event of TICAD 9. The venue was divided into two, JICA Yokohama and YC&AC, and at both venues, dozens of organizations exhibited, including our store's partner, A-GOAL, an African support organization.

People of a wide range of generations attended the event, which made me realize that people of all ages are interested in international cooperation and Africa. Africa is a region that is relatively unfamiliar to the general public due to its geographical and cultural distance, but I hope that events like this will help people feel closer to it and increase momentum for connections with Africa and international cooperation. If I have the opportunity, I would like to exhibit or help out myself.

Now I'm in Sapporo.
The pop-up will be held on the 3rd floor of Daimaru Sapporo from August 6th to 19th.
I usually work in Tokyo, so I don't have much time to talk about Africa in Hokkaido, but if you live nearby or are visiting, please take this opportunity to come and visit us. I'll be at the storefront every day.
