"Upcycling" is the process of turning unused items into new products. This product is a necklace made from recycled cow horn and aluminum.

The Black Horn Necklace is unisex.

The glossy finish of the aluminum and the matte finish of the cow horn create a different look that exudes elegance.

In particular, it can be used in both formal and casual settings, and can express an exotic charm.

■ Brand introduction

Malo Design is based in Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa, and has been creating contemporary jewelry using cow horn for 30 years.

Beads and pieces made from cow horn and cow bone, traditional African materials, create unique shapes and are the basic materials for Malo Design jewelry.

The necklaces and earrings include aluminium beads ( recycled from old engine parts and polished to a high shine ) , paper beads ( recycled magazines etc. ) , hand-cut glass ( recycled ) , hand-cut ceramic and cotton string (recycled from t- shirts ) .

All of the silver is also locally made, and we also use traditional brass and silver beads from West Africa, clay beads from Mali, rubber tubing and special necklace wire from Germany.
