The African fabric known as "Ankara" is made from fabric sold in Makoko, a floating slum in Lagos, Nigeria. Because it is a direct transaction, it helps support the independence of impoverished areas.

The reversible lining is made of the highest quality synthetic leather from a Japanese manufacturer.

It has a tear strength of over 20N, a tensile strength of over 350N, and a friction resistance (when dry) of grade 4 or higher (*), making it more durable than many similar products.

*From manufacturer's information. General values for clothing are tear strength of 7-10N or more, tensile strength of 200N or more, and abrasion resistance of grade 3-4.

Handling Precautions

Due to the characteristics of African fabric, the color may fade if it gets wet or rubbed too much, so please refrain from using it in places where it may get wet.
If the product gets wet or dirty, wipe it off immediately and allow it to dry.
We recommend spraying the outside with a waterproof spray before use to prevent discoloration.
Do not machine wash as this may cause color fading or deformation.
The pattern may differ from the photo depending on how it is cut during manufacturing, so please use this as a rough guide only.
